YOG is short for year of graduation, the year you received your medical degree. Many residency programs list a maximum number of years since graduation that they will consider, and some filter applications by YOG automatically.
If you graduated several years ago, check each program's stated limit before applying. Recent clinical activity, research or work can help you explain the time since graduation, but it does not remove a hard filter.
