This Disclaimer explains what our coaching, research mentorship, residency-match, fellowship placement, and rotation placement Services do — and do not — promise. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Refund & Guarantee Policy.
1. No Guarantee of Results, Except Where Explicitly Stated
Passing an exam, matching into a residency program, and achieving a research or academic outcome all depend on factors outside our control — your own effort and preparation, prior knowledge, and decisions made by third-party institutions (exam boards, residency programs, journals, and clinical sites). Except for the specific, narrowly defined guarantees described in our Refund & Guarantee Policy, we do not promise any particular exam score, Match result, publication, or other outcome.
2. Not Affiliated With NBME, USMLE, ECFMG, or NRMP
USMLE Wise is an independent exam-preparation, mentorship, and residency-match support company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), the USMLE program, the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), or the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Any reference to these names or their exams is for identification and educational purposes only.
3. Not Medical, Legal, or Immigration Advice
Our content and coaching are educational and exam-preparation resources. Nothing we provide is medical advice, legal advice, or immigration/visa advice. For questions specific to your visa status, licensing, or legal situation, consult a qualified attorney or the relevant licensing/immigration authority.
4. Testimonials & Case Studies
Testimonials, scores, and case studies shared on our Site reflect individual students’ reported experiences. They are not typical, are not independently audited, and are not a guarantee that you will achieve a similar result.
5. Clinical Rotation Placements
Where we help place students at a clinical rotation, the rotation is hosted and supervised by an independent third-party physician, clinic, or institution — not by USMLE Wise. We do not control, and are not responsible for, that third party’s supervision quality, accreditation status, scheduling, or conduct. You are responsible for confirming that any placement satisfies your own medical school’s requirements before relying on it.
6. Research Program Outcomes
Our research mentorship programs (including the Junior Scientist Program, Research Catalyst, Original Research, and Systematic Review/Meta-Analysis programs) provide training, mentorship, and guided project work. They do not, and cannot, guarantee a publication, conference acceptance, or authorship credit — those depend on the work meeting the ICMJE authorship standard and on independent peer review.
7. Third-Party Links & Services
Our Site may link to or rely on third-party services (scheduling platforms, WhatsApp, social media, payment processors, clinical rotation sites). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those third parties.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, USMLE Wise is not liable for decisions you make in reliance on our content or coaching, or for outcomes determined by third-party institutions. See the Limitation of Liability section of our Terms & Conditions for full detail.
9. J-1 Research Fellowship Placement
Where we help place students in a J-1 research fellowship, the fellowship position, host institution, and any visa sponsorship are provided by an independent third party — not by USMLE Wise. USMLE Wise provides placement assistance, application guidance, and visa-documentation support; USMLE Wise is not a visa sponsor, does not provide immigration or legal advice, and does not guarantee visa approval, a fellowship offer, or program completion.
